Document the purpose and policy of each package repository, and the branches of the corresponding git repository
The build system wiki and the community tutorial on how to use pacman references the package repositories, as do the project descriptions for chakra/packages/core, chakra/packages/desktop, chakra/packages/lib32, and chakra/packages/gtk.
I don't believe a clear explanation is provided anywhere for these four repositories.
Not to forget these:
[gtk]can be explained in the project descriptions - is that sufficient?
- Where should
- Disregarding the many stale branches, the default branch should be mentioned.
- Would a policy document in the build system wiki for packaging standards be helpful? (The old wiki article was linked to on the CCR previously)
- Would a policy document in the build system wiki for the
[testing]procedure be helpful?
- Would rewriting the old wiki articles on CCR "User Guidelines" and "Trusted User Guidelines", and merging them into a single document with "Contributor (Packager) Guidelines" as a build system wiki article be helpful?
